I have recently been given the task of determining why sendmail isn't logging itself in the syslog. I checked the sendmail config file and it has OL9 - level 9 logging indicated. The syslog daemon is doing its job elsewhere (lot's of fingd's for instance) and the syslog config file has 9/usr/spool/log/syslog so as far as I (appreciably a novice) can determine all is in order. The system is a Sun 3/280 running SunOS 3.5. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but not sure where to look. Thanks for any help. Christine Quinn quinn@eecf.stanford.edu
