Keywords: AfterTouch, Tesladar, Tom Darter Message-ID: <54882@iuvax.cs.indiana.edu> Date: 21 Aug 90 04:31:19 GMT Sender: news@iuvax.cs.indiana.edu Followup-To: rec.music.synth Organization: Indiana University, Bloomington IN. Lines: 30 I have received a *lot* of mail from people who paid $12 to Tesladar Communications (Tom Darter's company) and didn't receive anything in return. Last July, Yamaha turned over the publication of AfterTouch over to Tom Darter (it's editor at the time) and a subscription fee was instituted. Many people paid their subscription and haven't heard a thing from Tesladar...not even a note saying the venture was a bust. I'm preparing a letter for Keyboard and Electronic Musician and I would like to get a list of people on UseNet who mailed checks, had them cashed, and received nothing in return. Yamaha says it doesn't know what happened to the venture or the money. I see charges of mail fraud and possible legal action in the future. If you lost money and want to be included in a group complaint, send me a note with permission to use your name. (It would be helpful to include your postal mailing address.) Does anyone know what happened? (812) 336-3660 Applied Digital Arts ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon W.
