Message-ID: <9008211500.AA22660@gateway.mitre.org> Date: 21 Aug 90 15:00:37 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: The Internet Lines: 12 We've been sorting through a lot of raw IP header traces here and I noticed a lot of activity specifying TCP port 2. Now this is a mystery. RFC 1060 says ports 2-4 are unassigned. From the activity I'd guess they are being used by someones workstation cluster and arn't really supposed to be out in the internet but got there through a destination host addressing error. Has there been systems built that use TCP port 2 for something or does nayone know of someone using TCP port 2 for something? Tnx -Hal
