About 30 vendors and about 45 SNMP implementations were tested at OpenLab. (There is an enormous interoperability matrix that grew on one of the whiteboards over the course of the week.) It would be foolish to assert that all implementations worked perfectly, but it certainly is clear that the protocol is real, solid, etc.
