I'd rather have a vaxstation, but I'm stuck with the ps2/55 over ethernet using ftp's pc/tcp (under msdos, a terribly crude os). We have tested X11 with PC/TCP in house. We were able to use it quite successfully. The only problems that we encountered were that we were unable to get a DOS shell after all the TCP connections were exhausted, and that we were not able to get some of the fonts to work properly. The latter may have been user error. I will forward further details about the specific hardware and version numbers, etc. to Brian at U. Toledo. Anyone having any problems with this combination can feel free to contact FTP Software at support@ftp.com or (617) 246-0900 x100. Thanx, Margaret Forsythe mrf@ftp.com (617) 246-0900 x100
