It's alot better then tying up a 1" or BetaCam machine to churn away for hours and hours. That can be VERY abusive to a good VTR. Storing them in the Abekas created no wear and tear on the equipment. Ya just hafta find the big-bucks for an Abekas that's gonna store enough time for you.
