Summary: Information about accessing the scsidev.device (or other SCSI) Keywords: Amiga, SCSI, GVP Message-ID: <1990Aug23.044956.25125@eng.umd.edu> Date: 23 Aug 90 04:49:56 GMT Sender: news@eng.umd.edu (The News System) Distribution: usa Organization: Merriversity of Uniland, College Purgatory Lines: 23 I am interested in getting any information about how to directly access SCSI devices in C. The only documentation I have been able to find are the comments in the devices/scsidisk.h header file and some (conflicting) information included with my GVP controller. I would like to find more complete information and a commented sample program that actually does something (anything :-). My particular problem is that I am trying to directly access my WT-150 tape drive directly (this is the GVP TapeStore product). Using the information I was able to glean from the header file, I was able to get it to retension the tape, so some SCSI commands are getting through. However, any data reads and writes return a GVP specific error (i think) about not being able to find the device. I am puzzled :-) If somebody could give me any pointers, I would appreciate it.
