Lines: 15 Dave, I'm having some troubles using Davex's vstore/vrestore commands. I am trying to make a backup of a 1600k /ROM drive (Checkmate Memory Saver plus Harris Labs 4meg card) to 800k floppies. Everything seems to be fine until i attempt a vrestore. An error occurs (something about wrong starting block for the second disk). If I go into a block editor and look around, I can see how/where the continuation of the backup should be. The block number written by Davex to the second disk at its block# 7, byte# 41 & 42 are wrong. Hand patching these two locations I've been able to use a couple of different backups I've made (the number that goes into these two locations varies, naturally). Is there something "funny" about the vstore command? Have I missed a substantial fix (if this was known)? Any help appreciated. uucp: {amdahl!bungia, crash}!orbit!pnet51!stgeorge arpa: crash!orbit!pnet51!stgeorge@nosc.mil inet: stgeorge@pnet51.orb.mn.org
