Well Ed, I don't believe I mentioned $1500 for the 020 colour Mac(with the
slot for a //e board). The rumours have it priced around $2500.

That being said, I must distance myself from what you claim I said regarding
other matters and my own opinions. In general it is not proper to relay,
interpret,etc...the opinions of others to a public forum, especially since
they may be taken out of context and E-mail is after all a private
communication. As you may note from my postings, I am on the faculty of a
university(i.e. I work for someone). My public opinions are strictly my own
and I don't particularly want to have to explain to my employer why I am
expressing certain views which may be taken as a reflection of the university's
views(they may/may not be- I don't know).

As for the eternal rumour of the GS being dropped, it is a pity that this
keeps coming back and is taken seriously by users, developers,etc...

There is one way to find out. Wait until October xx,1990 when Apple announces
these Macs. If the GS price is not lowered and is priced higher than the
"low-cost" colour Mac(with a similar configuration) then that would be a sign
that Apple does not want people to buy the GS. I can't understand the
rational, as the GS and the Mac make a very nice team for the educational
market.
