I can replace quite a few components myself and if | I can't my friends can. My Mega 2 had the very similar problems from the start, especially on warm days. I "solved" the problem at first by allowing lots of air space around the computer. When the 6-chip TOS 1.4 ROM set was installed the problem could no longer be ignored. The dealer solved it by replacing some low-power Schottky drivers with some standard Schottky drivers. Sorry, it's been about a year and I can't remember exactly what parts were replaced. It did fix the problem "for good", though. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% % Andy Cassino % % Hewlett-Packard - Lake Stevens Instrument Division % %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
