They can be reached at 618/632-1143. Last I knew, they had close to 125 volumes of software to choose from. Alternatively, you could try calling some of the DEC resellers. They usually end up with software when they buy a used system. Another source of information is the RAINBOW NEWS, a "quarterly" newsletter published by IRUG. They have classifieds in the back. Another source is CompuServe, but you have to pay for that. The only other source is the BBS net nodes. This is not necessarily the case. IANAL but some contracts _do_ live on (e.g. a person's contractual liability to pay his VISA bill does not end when he dies... it "lives on" and is passed to his estate.) In addition we are not always talking about dissolution of the company. For instance, in (what I believe is) the example at hand, Suitable Solutions has NOT dissolved ... they have simply gotten out of the Rainbow support business and are "on hiatus", determining their next direction. Further, ownership of the program is not necessarily vested in the company that sold it to you. If Joe Smith writes a program and authorizes XYZ Company to sell it, and XYZ Company dissolves, the program still belongs to Joe Smith, who may or may not be "visible" to users (and may or may not have *ever* been "visible" to users). In other words, It Ain't That Simple. :-) - -Bill - --- QM v1.00 * Origin: Still Servicing the Rainbow - Maybee Forever (1:101/1.0) ------------------------------
