The sequence is ON-D   (That is ON and D pressed at same time and released)
Then Backspace or left arrow or whatever you want to call it.
Then EVAL          

This will show you your Rom version.  Mine says. 
Version HP48-C

To leave the diagnastic mode. (ON-D)   
use ON-C.  This is a system halt and will stop almost anything.  Almost..... ;)


Now, I have a question.  I just found out tonight that one of my directories
has died.  When I try to go into that directory, it just hangs.    I have to
ON-C to get out of it.  Does anyone have any idea what is wrong?  I have 
11K avail right now so I am not crashing th memory.  I did fill it a couple
days ago when I downloaded Hexatom.   Would this temporary memory shortage have
caused this ill state of affairs?  Basically there is nothing important 
in the directory so I would like to just erase it if possible, BUT it won't
let me kill the directory without cleaning it out first.  Since I can't get
into it, I am stuck.  What can be done, if anything?  Is there the equivalent
of "rm -r" on the 48?  I could really use it.
