I have to assume that you are talking about pstat(2) and vmstat(1). The pstat system call was introduced (but not documented) in 7.0. Where did you find it in Series 300 6.2 documentation? I would be interested in knowing. It will be documented in the next major release after 7.0. The vmstat command has always been supported on the Series 800. The Series 300 6.5 manual entry clearly has "Series 800 only" across the top. It will show up on the Series 300 in the next major release after 7.0. I can't help you with your second question.
