I am working with an Ethernet network of Sun-3 and -4 workstations, with several PC-AT and AT-clones set up as PC-NFS clients. I recently upgraded one of the micros (a genuine PC-AT) from DOS 3.2 to 4.01. The new DOS seems to coexist with PC-NFS, but now some (not ALL) of the DOS commands do not work on the remote (NFS-mounted) drives. For example, the DOS COPY command. DIR will list the files on a remote drive, but it prints "Invalid function" instead of displaying the number of files and free space. These commands worked without any trouble with the older DOS version. My guess is that the PC-NFS version I have (3.0) is just plain incompatible with DOS 4.01. Does anyone know of a more recent version? Please respond via email, if convenient. Thanks in advance for your help.
