I recently got a CMS external 1.2 meg 5.25" floppy for
the Zenith Supersport 286e laptop..

I was wondering if Zenith's pin outs for the floppy drive are
"universal standard".. I am getting Zeos new 386-20DX laptop
and they said their laptop has an "universal" 25 pin d-subminature
connector which is the kind used on the Zenith laptop..
Question is... Is it pin for pin compatible..

Might be a silly question as the Zeos laptop hasn't been
released yet (should be shipping end of this month) but is
there such things as a "universal" external 1.2 meg floppy
port for laptops?? The floppy connector on the Zenith
is a 25 pin female "serial-type" d-subminature connector...
