I'd particularly like to see them solve some of the following problems: (1) italics & subscripts confuse the justification algorithm when fractional widths are turned on. The left-hand margin is always ragged. Also, overstrikes SERIOUSLY confuse the algorithm (leaving a big gap in the middle of a line, right after the overstrike.) (2) mathematics sizing & positioning (particularly summations) could be a lot better. We need support for overbars. (3) Some kind of support for automatic numbering (of figures, equations, sections, theorems, corollaries, etc. etc. etc.) is desperately needed!
