Once you've acquired the crystal ball, double click on it so that it is
now filling the center of your screen.  If you bring the mouse cursor over it
you will notice that it changes to a pointing hand (like the "browse tool" in
HyperCard).  Hold down the mouse key and rub the ball several times with the
pointing finger, this should cause Nequilar to find you, but it WILL illuminate
the crystal ball.  Now you won't need torches, but you will probably be
attacked more frequently by monsters.
