I've tried many times to build the right cable for the Imagewriter "II printer, so that it may be used with a PC. I am able to communicate with "it directly (via communications program), but it won't function correctly as a "printer. Does anyone know the proper cable configuration to make this work? "One more detail: I am able to send characters to the printer, but they do not "appear until I hit the Enter key. " "Eric, tinkerer-at-large Don't ask me why, but my first computer was a PC AT and the printer I bought was an ImageWriter II. (First time computer buyers do strange things, thanks to the help we get from dealers.) Orange Micro makes (made at the time) a card to go inside the ImageWriter. It comes with a manual telling you how to set the switches and then emulates an Epson (FX-80?). It worked OK, mostly. No italics and one or two other minor problems. But it worked out much better when I bought a Mac and sold the AT. I doubt if just a cable by itself will do it. Shirley Kehr
