Here's an odd one. Has anyone else had similar experience or can otherwise shed light on this?

I have large MS Word file (968K) containing the draft of a book, including embedded diagrams (most MacDraw pictures pasted in). Recently, while trying to print out a copy I found the printing failing regularly and that when I opened the document to examine it, the Mac would crash.
