I don't have a digitizer to try this with, but the frozen images on my digital VCR do seem to be very noise-free. Of course, a digital VCR probably costs more than the digitizer, but if you are starting from scratch it might be worth it (?). Digital VCRs tend to help with editing. Lawrence Miller
