Message-ID: <1334.26d586de@waikato.ac.nz> Date: 24 Aug 90 07:58:22 GMT Organization: University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand Lines: 19 Is there any kind of semi-common standard for representing colour information on the Clipboard? When I copy a PICT to the Clipboard, it would be nice if I could specify a "good" set of colours to use for displaying that image, as well. It is possible to extract this sort of information from the picture automatically, but a) this takes a bit of time, and b) it might not always give as good results as a hand-picked set of colours. It would be easy enough to copy a "clut" or a "pltt" object (or both) to the Clipboard along with the "PICT". Each type would have its pros and cons; Do other people have any opinions on this? What do existing colour applications try to do?
