Upon returning, the machine was powered up. It made it as far as the disk check, where it hung. Repeated attempts at booting always gave the same results. I suggested disconnecting from the net and repowering the machine (we've seen a similar problem where the configuration was bad, and disconnection allowed booting to proceed. We then fixed the problem). This time, it didn't help; the machine still hangs. Any advice? -Drew
