Well, I've gotten no response whatsoever about WHY Escape won't work under
the Console Mode on my MacII under 2.0 (I'm using ksh)...So... I called
the A/UX Tech Answer Line.

Hopefully they will have an answer for me sometime soon, and I'll post it
to the net.
