Installation worked ok, and I got several news ttys, called /dev/ttya[1-8]. Enabling a serial line e.g /dev/ttya2 seems ok, because the login prompt appears on the terminal screen. Logging in on the machine give the following error message: "Cannot obtain database information on this terminal" before the password prompt. I've tried to do some debugging, and I've noticed a file called /etc/auth/system/ttys . This file does not contain the new device "/dev/ttya1". Including this device to the file, seems to fix the problem. I can log in on that terminal, but only once. After I log out from the terminal, the "/dev/ttya1" disappears from the "/etc/auth/system/ttys" file, and I'm back again. Can someone please tell me which file(s) to update in order to make the new devices known to the system ? -- Tore Solvar
