Ideally, this package would meet the following criteria: o Run under UNIX 4.3 BSD, o Scan the user file systems & move infrequently used files (e.g. files which have not been accessed in the past year) to tape, o Let users generate requests to archive any files they own, o Maintain an online index of archived file names so users can generate retrieval requests, o Provide a nice interface to retrieve files from the archive tapes. If you know of such a package, I would appreciate a note. Or, if you have other ways of managing tight disk resources, I'd like to hear about them. -- Rex Pruess, Weeg Computing Center, University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa 52242 rpruess@umaxc.weeg.uiowa.edu | rpruespb@uiamvs.bitnet | 319-335-5452
