I recently installed X11R4 which expects ".snf" fonts but for my Vaxstation 3200 the copy of ALIS that I got came with ".pcf" fonts because DEC has this different font format. Rather than deal with support at ALIS (which is actually pretty good) to possibly get a new set of fonts which will work with my R4 server, I would like to attempt a direct conversion >from the ".pcf" fonts that came with ALIS (which don't work) to ".snf" fonts (which should work.) So, does anyone out there have any suggestions as to how I might write such a program myself or has anyone written one? Is there a source where I can find out the format of the ".pcf" font file? Can anyone PLEASE help me? Thanks in advance. John Hansen madis!hansen@lognet2.af.mil
