Keywords: 386SX X-windows Message-ID: <414@yonder.UUCP> Date: 22 Aug 90 15:31:16 GMT Organization: Redstone Enterprises, Lakewood, Co Lines: 17 I am considering the purchase of a Compaq SLT 386s/20 running SCO Unix for the development and demo-ing of some X-window applications. I had to chose a portable or laptop because most of the demos will be on the road. The Compaq has a 20 MHz 386SX, 6MB of memory, 120MB of disc(19ms access), 4K Byte cache, 387SX coprocessor, and a VGA display. My questions: 1) Is this machine well suited to the task (i.e. will it be fast enough?) 2) Is there a better machine(or configuration) for this task? My machine does not receive this group, so I would appreciate email responses, thanx in advance. -- Michael E. Haws "Keep the blue side up" w - (303) 986-2370 boulder!yonder!michael h - (303) 232-0628
