Kanata (Ontario). Canada. Lines: 22 I'm new to X-Windows and Motif so take it easy on me if the question I'm asking has an obvious solution. Background: I'm creating an application using X11R3 and Motif which displays the current status of some entity using graphical symbols (i.e on = symbolA, off = symbolB). I have a requirement to blink the symbol once an entity is in a state longer than a user-specified amount of time. Question: Is there another way to blink a graphical symbol besides displaying the symbol then clearing it, displaying it, ... at some uniform interval? Any comments/solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jane Knickle Mitel Enterprises Mitel Corporation, 350 Legget Drive, Kanata, Ontario, Canada K2K 1X3 Mail: uunet!mitel!spock!knicklej
