Message-ID: <25268@boulder.Colorado.EDU> Date: 27 Aug 90 21:17:05 GMT Sender: news@boulder.Colorado.EDU Reply-To: devin@boulder.Colorado.EDU Followup-To: comp.windows.x, comp.windows.x.motif Organization: University of Colorado, Boulder Lines: 19 I'm getting an 8 bit PseudoColor visual on a 24 bit machine. This works no problem. However, I then allocate a colormap, and then try to place the foreground, background, whitepixel, blackpixel, etc colors into my private colormap so that the other windows don't disappear. But the background pixel value is huge - bigger than 256, for sure. What should I do? I'm trying to run on a VAXstation 3520 running Ultrix 4.0 (DECwindows) which is based (still!) on X11R3...
