I'm a new fishkeeper...about 1 month...and nobody ever informed me I was supposed to change the water. I've read many articles about people changing a certain percentage of their water. Can somebody tell me why this is done and how much I should be changing? I have a 10 gallon tank right now with 5 fancy tail guppies, 2 catfish, and 4 brand new babies (fancy tail guppies) in a breeder.
