A friend of mine has pulled the rev counter out of his
Citroen 2CV and wishes to rescale it for another car.

This counter is analogue and includes an 8-pin DIL
IC with the TI logo on it and is dated 7725. It
must be a charge-pump/accumulator/sort-of-thing,
but the oldest databooks here at Brunel University
only go back as far as 1979, and type 76810 isn't
mentioned; however, *most* of the chips with those sort
of numbers *ARE* fancy psuedo-analogue IC's such as
freq-to-voltage converters & the like.

If anyone out there at TI (or indeed anywhere else) knows
whether data sheets for this thing are still available,
or if anyone has one or knows where I could find one,
I'd be grateful for some e-mail. A chip is not much
use if you don't know what it does !
