One of my A-1, non-negotiable, burning-issue-class goals with the file input stream stuff was the ability to write a version of WORD (call it GETWORD for the sake of discussion) that will read past line boundaries. I believe that this goal was achieved, but I guess I better prove it by writing up the solution. Stay tuned. I'll post it when I finish. If I can't do it, it's burning issue time.
