Thanks, Dennis.  As the fates would have it, my copy of BASIS12 arrived the
day after I posted that message.

Do I understand correctly that this document is now obsolete?  It says it
expires on the next meeting, on August 21st.  It was _postmarked_ August 22nd.
This sort of thing makes it very difficult to submit proposals to the
committee!

Elizabeth: what proportion of the TC work is done in the technical sessions? 
Your peripatetic schedule has finally brought the TC within reach (Detroit),
but if all I can do is sit and watch the TC, I may just send a friend with a
VCR. :-)
