Yep, you understand correctly Brad. The BASIS is only a valid document until the next meeting of the TC where proposals will be accepted that change portions of it. This last time, we ran VERY late getting it out. We managed to send the TC member copies just within the 2 week rule by copying them internally. The rest of the copies were made by a second party and we did not get them out until the meeting had started. Either way, the copies arrived too late and we appologize for that. We hope to do better, but that just reinforces our reasons for not wanting to go to a lot of extra work distributing multiple types of formats. BTW the electronic copy appeared here on GEnie the same day that we printed the TC member copies. That was August 1st. > what proportion of the TC work is done in the technical sessions? The way that the sessions usually go is that the TC meets in the morning. Then it adjourns and the Technical Subcommittee starts up. In the TSC is where all the "real" work happens and where anyone who is present can discuss and vote on the issues. Once the TSC discusses and votes on the proposals, they are sent to the TC where only TC members can vote. Typically, by that point, the issues have been ironed out and the votes go by quickly. If for any reason debate still exists in the TC, the proposal is sent back to the TSC for more work. Thus, if you want to come to a TC meeting, I assure you that you will not be bored. They will try their best to get you sucked into the process and most certainly will put you to work. DaR ----- This message came from GEnie via willett through a semi-automated process.
