I was thinking I've always been interested in FORTH and I think it would be an appropriate language for my Apple IIGS (fast stack, fast memory fetches, fast zero page, ). The two Forths I got are Raven Forth and GSforth sys 16 (both demo programs). The problems here is that I don't even know enough about FORTH to evaluate the two program I have. Both look good. One comes with an implementation of the game "GO" using the GS desktop and stuff. GS Forth can get an entire desktop based application (tools that resemble the Mac) in less than 5K of compiled code. What I want is a generic forth book because I doubt very seriously that someone has written a "programming in FORTH with the GS" and any FORTH book that included examples for other system dependant compilers would confuse me :) Any suggesstions?
