    I'm not sure this is the right group to ask, but here goes:  I need
a copy of the IEEE floating point number spec, WRT NANs and Infinities.

    Specifically, I have a program that needs to be able to examine a
number and verify that it is a legitimate (normal) number, and not any
of the special values.  Will someone either send me the info, or aim me
at it? On-line is preferable, or if someone would just email it to me
I'd greatly appreciate it.  Thanks in advance.
