Message-ID: <1990Aug28.131411.3006@arsocomvax.socom.mil> Date: 28 Aug 90 13:14:11 GMT Reply-To: ted@usasoc.soc.mil (Ted Nolan) Organization: SRI International, Ft. Bragg NC Lines: 13 We have quite a lot of 286 PCs (Zenith Z248s mostly) with 1M RAM. We run PCNFS, and some users are starting to run out of memory running large spreadsheets, databases etc while PCNFS is loaded. Has anyone figured out a way to relocate some of the NFS stuff into extended memory? I also understand that in some cases 286es can actually access most of the first 64K past the 1M barrier in real mode -- anyone know how to move drivers to there? Other suggestions? Thanks, Ted Nolan ted@usasoc.soc.mil
