DeFilippis) Newsgroups: comp.protocols.tcp-ip Subject: SLIP or something like it wanted. Can anyone help me out? Keywords: SLIP TCP Message-ID: <2723@promark.UUCP> Date: 28 Aug 90 02:13:36 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: Promark Data Concepts, Garden City, NY Lines: 26 I have been developing several TLI and Socket based TCP and UDP applications at work and I want to use the bulk of the event driven side of the TCP connection based servers I have written in an application I am working on at home. What I have is two 386 boxes. One running SCO XENIX 386, the other AT&T Unix system V.4.1. Between them I only have smart serial boards which run up to 19.2. I heard of public domain SLIP available but don't know where to get it, and are patches available that will allow it to run with both operating systems named above. (Heck, I will throw the Xenix out if I need to). Someone mentioned KA9Q and I have seen this package on osu-cis (Ohio State), but is this what I need? At this time I have no way to access FTP but have 9600bps modem... can annon uucp... I would appreciate it if somoene more educated in this stuff would point me in the right direction. BTW, I rarely get to read news at all anymore so email would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance. -- Mark J. DeFilippis UUCP: uunet!adelphi!promark!mark
