Here's a way to put some programs (among them PKAZip) back on the list of
safe-working programs for the 3000: 
Disable all processor caches. I could eliminate several regular gurus.
 
If we're already talking about processors: Could anybody please explain
what exactly the burst mode is?

And yet more: 36.141 the latest 2.0 version?
