I installed UNIX lharc v1.00 on the SUN-3 here and have been trying to work with it. I made created an .lzh archive on the SUN. UNIX lharc retrieves files from that archive with no problem. Problem: files transferred to the Amiga keep on generating CRC errors and garbage when decompressed using ANY of the Amiga un-Lharc'ing programs. However, files on AB20, when transferred to the SUN, get decompressed with no problem, and when transferred to the Amiga using the same method as the SUN-generated archives decompress fine. So the UNIX lharc archives seem to be a superset of the amiga .lzh archives which Amiga lharc programs can't handle. If the authors of the amiga programs would like, I can email them either the UNIX lharc source, a UNIX .lzh archive, or both, so they can resolve this problem. Please e-mail the response since I basically often miss a lot of stuff in this group with (c)atchup, or else follow-up to c.s.a.tech if you think it's appropriate. It looks like maybe something got lost in the translation. The question is: is it the UNIX or Amiga versions which are incorrect? -- panon@staff.ucs.ubc.ca or USERPAP1@UBCMTSG or ppanon@undergrad.cs.ubc.ca or USERPAP1@mtsg.ubc.ca Looking for a .signature?
