Will there be a portability standard?  (I hate developing under
AmigaDos 1/2 :-)

CBM, if you haven't thought of this, you should.  Not everything
would have to be portable -- say file, device and character IO (if it's
different from file IO).

Is this asking too much?  I don't know a thing about executable
compatibilities under different OS's.  Just a wishful thinker.
