I think I found out why I got so many 80000004-gurus (resp. 00000004 under
1.3): it seems to have been the 2052 ram board I had to install (no ram
chips available). 
I had a paritcular sculpt scene where the 3000 always gave me a guru
(regardeless of the OS version). After I removed the board, everything
works (so far! I haven't tested all, yet). 
 
PKAZip still has its problems, though. Sometimes it gives me a yellow
screen and a flashing power led and then the system reboots without guru.
Bad luck, I liked the program.
