He used a serial cable instead of the monitor cable in his RGB port, and there was a spark. He's thinking of replacing the bad parts himself but doesn't know what's burnt. Maybe one of you readers can help. Here are the symptons: 1. There's no hand with the disk picture when the computer is turned on. 2. Both video ports are not functioning (RGB and RCA mono). 3. If he inserts a disk that plays music the audio is messed up. If it helps, he has the 1.3 Kickstart, and the old fat agnus. His commodore dealer asks for an outrageous price just to open the case!
