Due to the lack of info like what did he get on the screen - anything at all after that, which pins bears the marks of the spark... etc; I can't pin point the damage. Since the description is not too technical, I would advise you seek the help from someone who know about fixing computers. If you are willing to take the risk, these are the parts I would look at. The video port is driven by the Video Hybrid (HY1), 2 of the signals goes from the Fat Agnus chip (_HSYNC and VSYNC). My bet is on a fried Agnus since the music program don't work and (assuming) the video don't work either. Try to borrow/steal a old fat agnus chip for swapping from someone else who did the upgrade. If that fix the music program and not the video, then the second g damage is the video hybid. If the colour are messed up a bit, I'll also take a look at U40 and U41 (74HCT245). Note: Paula is isolated, so it is not the problem. If you don't know who to remove any of the chips, seek help from a C= repair centre. You are more likely to break things than fixing it. K. C.
