Keywords: monitors Message-ID: Date: 3 Sep 90 03:25:39 GMT Organization: Rutgers Univ., New Brunswick, N.J. Lines: 20 ------- Just been reading the latest postings about getting 80 columns on the Atari 8-bit. Some recommend using one of the PD/Shareware term programs out there, others recommend using an XEP80. In either case, I have but one question : where can you purchase composite monochrome monitors anymore? The only monitors I can find in stores these days are types for use with IBM clones. Over the years, I've gotten several software-driven 80 column term programs. Never used them much because by and large the BBS' that I called were run on Atari's and were in 40 columns. Now most of those boards have fallen by the wayside so I must either give up BBS-ing on my 800xl (unthinkable), or find a way to display 80 columns. On a 20" color TV that ain't advised. So I need to find a good 'ole monochrome monitor to save me. Anybody know of any mail-order places that still carry such things??? -Ray
