The drive is supplied unformated by the vendor. How does one go about (low level) formatting this drive for use with VMS? We have several Q-Bus machines (MV II, VAXstation 3200, etc) that have ESDI controllers and I am familiar with using the on-board formatters (wombat, etc) from ODT. Does something similiar exist for the 3100 series computers with DEC's SCSI controller? The local DEC Sales office couldn't (wouldn't?!) supply the information and the vendor will "get back to me". Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Bob Petri aia@j.cc.purdue.edu petri@PURCCVM.BITNET
