The disks I believe are the same, I have not yet tried this with a DS3100, although we have plan to replaced an RD53 with a Micropolis (equiv to an RD54). What I am going to try as soon as I get an extra RZ55, is swap out a RD53 disk and a Sun shoebox disk.
