It's a long story, but I need a dumb uart chip to interface my IBM to
a strange device. By dumb, I mean suitable for control by discrete
logic, not microprocessor control (i.e. no fancy internal registers
that need to be programmed, etc.).  Can anyone suggest some
candidate parts?
