Message-ID: <1990Aug28.122605.7999@msuinfo.cl.msu.edu> Date: 28 Aug 90 12:26:05 GMT Sender: news@msuinfo.cl.msu.edu Organization: Michigan State University, East Lansing Lines: 14 My 286 clone failed to boot for me last night. It worked fine just a couple days ago but we've had 90/90 days (temperature/humidity) since it last worked. During booting I get two short beeps and nothing on the monitor. I seem to be able to run DOS in "the blind", but that's not much use... (or maybe it is ;-) The generic manual I got with the machine says that two beeps indicates a parity circuit not working (Award BIOS). Any idea if this will go away after things cool off? -- Tom Davis | The above statement shall be construed, Network Software Services | interpreted, and governed by me alone.
