WriteNow format is not supported. This may not have the biggest number of users, but I would predicte that several WriteNow users would like to move up to Nisus (I can name at least 2: Don Crabb and myself). Both follow a similar philosophy: they're quick, straightforward and they're no Word or MacWrite. Users of WriteNow that I have shown Nisus are impressed, but they blanch when they see how they have to convert their files. 2. RTF is not supported. This would alleviate the first problem to some extent it is almost a standard too. 3. The fast-saved Word formats are not supported -- this is a pain when people save their documentation with this 'feature' turned on. BTW, if you are goinf to take advantage of the XTND ideas put out by Claris the cute icon selection of the file type should dissapear in favour of a pop-up menu. This must be the way to go. Despite these gripes Nisus is still the best on the market (so please send me the upgrade quickly :-) Finally a question: Does 'Nisus' mean anything? How does it relate to the strongman icon? Inquiring minds want to know. Curiously yours, Kevin Purcell | kpurcell@liverpool.ac.uk Surface Science Centre | Liverpool University | Omit needless words.
